InterPoker consistently averages about 2000 simultaneous players,
definitely not the largest poker room on the net, but it's enough
that there are always at least several games going on at various limits.
In my experience, the players are quite fishy at the lower limits. And
the tournament players are even more fishy... This means a good player
will do very well in the long run but will run into bad beats from awful
players more often as well.
InterPoker definitely offers the best bonuses for online poker players:
Not only a monthly recurring 100% match bonus which is very easy to
clear but a no-rake-increase bad beat jackpot as well!
Phone service is fairly quick to respond, but their customer service
agents aren't overly informed. They often put you on hold when you
ask questions that aren't routine, but they DO come back with good answers
and usually within 1-2 minutes.
They do treat their players VERY nicely. For example, I received an
email from them stating that "You have probably noticed that there
have been some disruptions in the InterPoker service over the past weeks"
and I received a $15 credit to my account as an apology! And I never really
experienced any severe problems, so either I got lucky or InterPoker
is EXTREMELY nice to their players!
Their web site claims that they have customer support available via online
chat, but this service has been disabled for over two years now. So it's safe
to say they do NOT offer chat based customer service any longer. What a bummer.
Payouts / withdrawals can only be sent by:
ACH / Electronic Check,

Electronic web wallet cash outs (via Citadel, FirePay or NETeller)
are processed within 24 hours. ACH cash outs are also processed
within 24 hours, but typically take 3-5 business days to reach your
bank account. Checks may be sent by regular mail in 14-21 days for a $1.00
charge. Withdrawals that exceed $1000 will be sent via FedEx at no
InterPoker generously pays the NETeller InstaCash fee for you
if you choose to make an instant cash deposit through NETeller.
BONUS OFFERS AND FINE PRINT
First time: 100% match from $75-$500 max. Wow! Check InterPoker's "Promotions" page for latest Bonus Codes.
InterPoker has what I consider to be the best overall bonuses
for online poker players. Their standard offer is available to
every player, every month (none of that cheap "1st time / new players only"
stuff here!) currently a 100% match offer up to $100.
It used to be that the bonus money was automatically credited to
your account upon your first deposit of the month. But as of September
2006, you now need to get the latest "bonus code" (which changes
every month) from the InterPoker web site before you will get your
monthly bonus. A minor nuisance certainly, but I suppose this is just
InterPoker's way of getting you to visit their website and hopefully
notice their latest promotions and news.
Before the bonus money can be withdrawn you need to play a
minimum number of raked hands equivalent to 5x the bonus amount
(a $100 match bonus means you need to play 500 raked hands
before you can withdrawal your bonus money.)
They also offer a bad beat jackpot that starts at $2500 and climbs
$250 each day. The best part is that this bad beat jackpot applies
to all Texas Hold'Em and 7 Card Stud games and NO ADDITIONAL RAKE
is taken out. That's virtually unheard of, online OR land based!
InterPoker offers cash ring games in: Texas Hold'em, 7 Card Stud,
Omaha High, and Omaha High/Low.
Texas Hold'Em single table (sit-n-go) and multi-table tournaments are
also available 24 hours a day. InterPoker is host to some of the
largest tournaments online with prize pools as large as $250,000!
Finding a perfect game is easy thanks to the excellent display of
key table statistics in a summary view directly from the lobby.
At a glance you can see average pot size, hands per hour, players
per flop and the number of people in the waiting list for each table.
Very well done compared to many other poker rooms.
InterPoker also hosts some of the best online poker free roll tournaments
available. There is at least one $300 added free roll available
every day, and the game times are conveniently in the early evening hours
(EST). Saturday afternoon is a huge $3000 added free roll, surely not one
to miss. Best of all there are no wagering or deposit requirements necessary
to play in InterPoker's daily freeroll tournaments!
Table limits for the cash games range from $1/$2 up to $200/$400.
Tournament buy ins range from $2.25 up to $1000 or more.
No Limit and Pot Limit games are also available for buy ins from
$20 up to $200. A large portion of the players will however be
found in the lower limit games. It is worth noting there do seem to be
at least a few players in some of the higher limit games every
time I look.
Free play or Play for Fun games are also available in Texas Hold'em,
7 Card Stud, and Omaha. Unfortunately there are no play for fun single
table or multi table tournaments at this time.
COMPS AND PERKS
InterPoker awards "Poker Points" for all cash ring game play and
real money tournament entry fees. These points can be redeemed
for entry into special "Poker Points" tournaments.
InterPoker also constantly runs it's "Where's RyanH" promotion
where RyanH (the InterPoker manager) roams the poker room awarding
$10 to $100 prizes to random players currently in cash games.
The larger limit table, the larger the prize.
SPECIAL AND UNIQUE FEATURES
InterPoker offers a unique special feature called a "Prop Player
Incentive Scheme". They will PAY you from $10-$30/hour to play
poker on tables/limits selected by management. This is done to
help balance the tables and is available to all players with
at least $20 in their account.
Overall the InterPoker software and interface are decent. The
graphics are not quite as lavish as their sister InterCasino's,
but still above average compared to other online poker rooms.
However there are some notable areas where they could stand to improve:
The hand history function displays just plain text with very little
formatting. It's functional, but not as easy to use as other sites
that use graphic displays of the hand histories.
The chat window is too small, and worse still it automatically
jumps to the most recent messages anytime a new message comes across.
This is frustrating when you are trying to scroll back and
look at earlier messages (which you will find yourself doing often
because of the tiny chat window size.)
Normally I like a "no all ins" policy because there are too many
people out there that try to abuse it. However, there is a flaw
in InterPoker's "all in" policy, because it will fold your hand
even if checking is possible if you fail to respond in time. That's
not cool at all, it should check you if there aren't any bets yet.
Playing on multiple tables simultaneously is allowed at InterPoker
(up to 4 tables at once), however the interface doesn't make it
very easy on the user. There are no audio warnings or notifications
when the poker window is not in the foreground. This can be
annoying when it causes you to get folded, put all in or sat out
because you switched windows during an idle moment, etc... However,
the window IS brought to foreground when action is required and/or
at start of new hand. This doesn't work too well however
when you are clicking around in another window (ie; in a web browser,
or if you are playing multiple tables on a small screen where the
windows overlap each other.)
